Died 1853 in Lawrence County, IN Buried: Flinn Cemetery Source: Laughlin Flinn of Virginia and his Descendants by Forrest W. Faris. Susan Dilley, great granddaughter of Leah Speer Flinn, told in a letter that she wrote in about 1910, telling she heard her great grandmother tell that she was raised in Maryland and she was a young woman and rode horseback and carried news to the soldiers during the Revolutionary War and she could go where men could not.
