      Adam Haun

      Adam Haun, in the 94th year of his age, a member of a pioneer family of Mercer county, and a lifetime resident of Transfer, passed away at 8 o'clock Wednesday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. E. Miles, Sharon, after an illness of three days following a stroke of paralysis.

      He was a son of Adam Haun and Mary Hays Haun, who settled at the present site of Clarksville, Pa. in 1812, one of a family of 11 children, and is survived by one brother, Simeon S. Haun, of Mt. Vernon, Ia., aged 95 years.

      Three sons and one daughter in the immediate family survive him: E. O. Haun of New Castle, Mrs. C. E. Miles, Sharon; Fred L. Haun, Transfer, and E. B. Haun, Sharpsville, and several grand and great-grandchildren. Mrs. James K. Pollock of Ann Arbor, Mich., is a granddaughter.

      Funeral services will be conducted at the home of Mrs. C. E. Miles, Sharon, Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Interment in the Clarksville cemetery.
