- Elinor Fruit was born in Pennsylvania, she was the the daughter of James and Grizel Fruit she later moved to North Carolina with her parents and married John Pugh. John Pugh is the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Pugh. It is worth mentioning that John Pugh's sister Elizabeth Pugh married Elinor's brother John Fruit, this is only one example of the many connections between the Pugh and Fruit families.
Circa 1805 John Elinor and their family moved from North Carolina to Christian County Kentucky. Elinor died after 1810 and before 1820 in Kentucky, she is listed in the Christian Kentucky census for 1810 but not in the census for 1820.
John and Elinor had seven children.
