  • Notes
    • Mary Pugh was born circa 1740 in Pennsylvania she is the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Pugh.

Mary along with the rest of her family moved from Pennsylvania to North Carolina circa 1755.

On April 3 1762 Mary Pugh is received by request into the Quaker Friend in Alamance North Carolina probably in anticipation of her future marriage to Herman Husband.

Mary Pugh married Herman Husband on 16 June 1762, (Quaker Old Calendar), among the witnesses were Mary's father Thomas Pugh, her brothers John and Enoch Pugh and her sister Elizabeth Pugh-Fruit and brother-in-law John Fruit.

Mary and Herman Husband had one child named William Husband who was born 17 September 1763, he married Elizabeth Swift and relocated from North Carolina to Sangamon County, Illinois, where he died on 20 December 1842.

Mary Pugh-Husband died 15 January, 1765 in North Carolina.

Mary Pugh-Husband's burial is not known, it is thought that she is either buried in the Cane Creek Monthly Meeting Cemetery in N.C. or she is buried by her parents Thomas and Elizabeth Pugh in an unmarked grave as was Quaker tradition, in the Old Pugh, Fruit, Campbell Cemetery.
