  • Notes
    • He was a soldier in the War of 1812 with Capt. Ritter. There is a cenotaph for him at Christ(Mertz) church cemetery, old section. This stone, including one for Herman Ruppert, were not listed when the old section was transcribed in 1986. Nor were there any other stones for them. Herman Ruppert's grave and stone were later found at Ruppert's Cemetery. The transcriptions at the Old Mertz cemetery were done by Jon Acker, Fay L. Cox Anna Schroeder and Elaine D Schwar. There has been no source or repository provided for his actual interment, only the mention of Lobach's Cemetery in his obituary. This seem to be more appropriate as both he and wife Catharine died relatively close to one another. Nevertheless, no tombstone has been found for him. He died in 1876 and the following year a new St Paul's church was constructed. Prior to that the old building was razed. Perhaps started the year of his death and with all the activity the erection of his stone was overlooked.

Abraham was a son of Johann Casper Ruppert and Catherine Zimmerman
