990 | W. C. Bennington was a probable grandson of Catharine Bennington, matriarch of many of the early Benningtons of Fayette County, Pennsylvania and originally of Maryland. Wm C Bennington, age 6, was living with Catharine Bennington, age 60, for the 1860 Census, North Union, Fayette, Pennsylvania, along with several other Benningtons. It is believed that the full name of W. C. Bennington was William Chauncey Bennington. The probable grandparents, Catharine and her husband John Bennington were the parents of a large family including Mary Ann Bennington Yauger, who is also buried in Hopwood Cemetery. Mary Ann was first married to Peter Matson and second to James K. P. Yauger. W. C. Bennington was the husband of Mollie Bennington, 1859-1927 as recorded on their shared grave marker. | Bennington, William C (P825)
